The island of Fuerteventura, which offers all year round sunshine, is fast-becoming as popular as its sister islands of Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Tenerife and for families and couples alike, Fuerteventura has plenty to do and see.
Home to the yearly wind surfing championships, beaches in the south are breathtaking and the vacation resort of Corralejo in the north is a popular destination particularly for families with quite a few amusements including a brand new water park, theme park and a good amount of other kid’s activities.
On the east coast is the vacation resort of El Castillo (formerly known as Caleta de Fuste). Although much smaller and quieter than Corralejo, the holiday resort has again be designed with children in mind and the man made beach is a safe place for children to bathe and play safely.
You will find numerous activities for the children for instance a bowling alley, play parks and trampolines and lots of different water sports are available in the adjacent harbour.
There are now two golf courses located on the outskirts of the vacation resort with some beautiful golf course holiday villas readily available for holiday accommodation.
