Quality New Turf Is The Answer To Replacing Tired Old Turf

Turf repair can be a pointless experience for large numbers of gardeners whose efforts can be annulled by various reasons. Spending cash on repairing a garden turf lawn is not a frivolous matter when results are not forthcoming and the money appears wasted as a consequence. looking after turf properly can become an expensive business however it’s often it’s the turf’s age or quality which can cause a huge problem for the gardener.

One solution for keen gardeners is to replace the existing turf with new turf. There are many benefits to doing this, however, it is not a decision that should be taken without first checking that everything possible has been done to try and improve the existing turf.

There are many things that could be the problem, such as disease, lack of nutrients or even adequate watering that can be solved with the correct advice. Other problems can be even more difficult for turf and the gardener. Inadequate drainage can lead to several problems such as waterlogged turf. Plants can drown if excess water is not allowed to drain away. This is the same for turf which also needs good drainage. There is a fine balance for turf management that enables it to drain properly meaning that it won’t drown whilst allowing it to retain moisture so that it doesn’t dehydrate. Therefore, unless the drainage problem is corrected, which could include much extra work and new topsoil there is little point in simply replacing the old turf for new.

New turf should be considered as an option once all of the problems mentioned are checked and considered. Quality fresh turf will mean the gardener gets a good chance at making a lovely new lawn. The new turf, assuming it has been purchased from a quality turf supplier will be disease free, healthy and full of life. It should be laid onto carefully prepared land on which the turf supplier should give advice explaining how to do this.

it is true that turf can pass the stages of recovery. In the right hands however, new garden turf can make all the difference to making a lawn look at it original best.
