Photo’s not uploading! Frustrated!

I am trying (for HOURS) to upload pictures with my MacBook. I have tried the single pic and multi-pic method. After I choose my pic (it has a check box in it) and click start upload – I get a dialog box that says: Upload Files, Waiting for response from server… and it loads all the kilobytes but never finishes the upload and the pictures do not get saved.
